Beautiful and simple, this fruit bird is just as suitable for a child’s party as it is an elegant adult dinner party. And it’s ridiculously easy to make!
Directions:
- Cut a ripe pear in half, and lay one half on a platter.
- Peel and section off one mandarin orange, and core and cut one red apple.
- Arrange the orange and apple slices around the pear to create feathers.
- Use chocolate chips to create eyes on the pear, and nuts and raisins to create the beak and giblet.
- Lay six mandarin orange slices at the base of the pear to create feet.
You can serve this on its own or with sweet or savory baked brie, a cheese platter, or with toast rounds. Enjoy!
