Waffles and fruit are one of the fastest ways to get a hot breakfast on the table fast; yet somehow, a plate full of waffles can lose its appeal rather quickly. With just a few tweaks to how you plate things, you can start your kids’ day off with a smile, and make waffles just a bit more fun!

This recipe uses only a few ingredients: a waffle, apple, clementine, and chocolate chip. Toast your waffle per usual, and then cut it in half, stacking the two pieces to create a half-circle. Arrange the fruit slices per the photo, and then top it off with a chocolate chip to create an adorable eye! Serve this with preserves, a bit of whipped cream, or a quality maple syrup, and you have a fantastic treat of a breakfast. Enjoy!
